PUBLIC NOTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GEORGIA OPEN MEETINGS ACT, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE CITY OF BOSTON MAYOR AND COUNCIL WILL MEET FOR A SPECIAL CALLED MEETING ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2025 AT 1:00 P.M. THE MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE BOSTON COMMUNITY CENTER LOCATED AT 112 N MAIN STREET BOSTON, GA 31626. PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: PROPOSED MILLAGE RATE Posted: Wednesday, October 1, 2025 12:30P.M.
❗❗PUBLIC NOTICE - SANITATION SERVICE SCHEDULE❗❗
The City of Thomasville Sanitation Department has asked us to remind all City of Boston Customers that your residential Trash Can must be roadside no later than 0700 hours each Wednesday morning in order to ensure that your trash is picked up weekly. Per Director Smith with Thomasville Sanitation, their employees will begin trash service promptly at 0700 hours each Wednesday. ❗❗PUBLIC NOTICE - WATER SYSTEM MAINTENANCE❗❗
In our continued efforts to provide quality water service to our customers, The City of Boston will be conducting scheduled maintenance on the Water Tower beginning the week of August 4th, 2025. During this time and over the course of several weeks contractors will be working on the Water Tower and during this time, you may see water flowing from Hydrants throughout town as the system will remain pressurized. You may experience a momentary decrease in water pressure during high usage periods. However, this should be minimal.
